Jean Marcial currently serves as the Associate Head Coach for the Lehman College men’s basketball team, a role he has held since the 2018–19 season. A former standout player for the
Lightning from 2016–2018, Marcial helped lead the team to a 17-10 record in his first season, followed by an impressive 22-5 campaign and a trip to the CUNYAC finals in his senior year.

As a player, Marcial was known for his consistency and impact on both ends of the floor. He averaged 11.4 points and 5.5 rebounds per game in his final season, starting every game and
finishing second on the team in steals and blocks while shooting nearly 48% from the field.

Now in his sixth year on the coaching staff, Marcial plays a vital role in all aspects of the Division III program. He specializes in player development, particularly post play, and leads scouting and recruiting efforts. His eye for talent has helped bring in high-level student-athletes, including NABC Division III All-Americans Gian Batista (2022) and Isaiah Geathers (2023), as well as All-CUNYAC and All-Metropolitan honoree Kai Parris.
